Hey everyone, well its been QUITE a while since I've managed to blog anything but suddenly I have a spot of time and thought I'd make contact with the outside world once again to give you all an update....
I'm still in Oklahoma!, touring up and down the UK playing my usual brand of psychopathic killer (Jud Fry) with one of the nicest casts I've ever had the pleasure of working with...and considering I've been doing this for 105 years, that's saying something! The leads are lovely and incredibly talented, the ensemble are fabulous and full of life and laughter, and the crew and creative team are gorgeous too...sounds like a Utopian job, eh, and if it wasn't for the fact that I am freezing my proverbials off in Manchester on a chilly October afternoon as I write this, it would be!
Life has been gorgeous to me recently - the season in Scarborough was a delight, both shows I did being met with massive critical acclaim (we got 6 stars out of 5 for one of them which was a first!), the panto at Cardiff that followed was great too and I met some wonderful people on both jobs - many of whom I am stil in touch with and one of whom has become my newest writing partner. I just finished panto in time to start Okey rehearsals and in between times I have been writing plays, musicals, trying to start tours of three of my shows, doing voice overs a-plenty and generally being a very happy bunny.
If I can find the time, I promise I will update this much more regularly now and hope the people that read the first couple get as much pleasure out of reading it as I do telling you all this stuff...
Panto this year is the Glasgow SECC by the way, with John B again - Aladdin this time, 3D Genie et al, so hoping for a lovely Christmas - I've already got a beautiul flat rented which sjoul give for a cosy time at least. As for January onwards...who knows at the moment...I may be directing but it's not tied up yet, otherwise I'm free as a bird as I haven't been able to audition for anything and the calls for next year haven't started yet!
To all those who made Scarborough, Cardif and the tour so lovely, I send huge and heartfelt thanks, along with apologies if I haven't been able to keep in touch or meet up as often as we woul have liked - you know who you are, and you are soooo missed!
Ever hopeful that I will speak to you all again soon

Nearing the end
Hey. So, panto is only days away from finishing and my 2 months away with it. Its Thursday now and we close on Sunday so any minute now my life will come rushing back and I'll have to forget all about Birmingham, my little flat and the most lovely people I have met (some for the 2nd time) since I have been here. It will be sad but all acting jobs come to an end (unless you're one of those people who has been doing Buddy or Joseph since the day it opened as it's all you do...) and obviously this one is no different. Someone very wonderful once said to me "If you ever feel like you're in a depressive trough, just remember it's only because you know what the mountain top at either side feels like, and there are those who are never lucky enough to experience mountain tops. Would you sacrifice that beauty for the relative safety of not being in a trough temporarily?" The answer of course is no, because I suppose the simpler version is "Tis better to have loved and lost..." although the meaning is slightly different...
I shall miss the people more than anything. Barrowman's lovely rude sense of humour that keeps us all chuckling, Zerdin's dry, ascerbic wit that keeps us all wondering, the ensemble of lovely boys and girls who didn't have a bad egg among them for a change and my beautiful friends front of house who, this year, have looked after me and insisted, for the good of my health, that I go clubbing with them on an almost nightly basis. I told them I'm 18 and I think they may have taken me at my word. One or two of them have made my time here very special indeed - I won't name anyone for fear of offening others but I'm sure you know who you are. XX that's for you.
I'm also excited that when I get back I can ask my two lovely website friends Noriko and Mamiko to link this blog to the partially built website so that I can at least stay in touch with people without any hassle. So many people ask me on a day to day basis what I'm doing next, what I've got in the pipeline etc. and I'm hoping this might be the answer. So talk to me, answer, ask, comment, laugh and generally make the most of this technology as I feel almost certain it will make me chuckle lot.
Speak soon, when I have closed in pantoland. Oooooh no I wont, Oooooo yes I will. Boo! Px

Hi you two. I'm not sure if I've done this correctly or even whether it will work but I followed a few simple instructions and this is what came up. I couldn't follow the instructions to link it to the petegallagher.co.uk website because I'm a thickie when it comes to computerised brilliance, but now that this is out there in the ether, perhaps you can link it to the site? Who knows what happens now? I do know that I don't really want everyone having my e-mail address again (it used to be posible to highlight the 'contact me' page and 'properties' gave my address out to whever wanted it.....) so we need to link this to the site, I'll privately give you any details I have used to open this so that you can access it and we'll go from there. Sound good? Excellent! As it happens, because I already have a googlemail account it was really easy....what I can't have is people accesing that account from all over the place. I'm sure ou understand. If I need to start it ll over again I will, but it seems OKish at the moment. Let me know? Px
